Managing principal of the company, John A. Gould, has a diverse background in real estate development and commercial/investment and ranch brokerage. His first South Texas ranch sale was in 1977 while still attending the University of Texas. The family still owns the ranch in Maverick county and expanded from 4000 to 12,000 acres. As a native of Austin, he realized the potential for upscale student owned housing within walking distance of the UT campus. He was a pioneer of the inner city in-fill college condominium project in Austin in the early 1980's. John built 10 projects in the West Campus area of the University of Texas. Those condominiums still stand today, among and most times in the middle of the multi-story projects being built today. A testament to finding the best sites early on and finding property for sale that was not on the open market. In 1988 he brokered, what was at the time, the largest downtown office building ever sold in Austin.
